About the Center

  • Little Explorers has 4 classrooms. We have 2 infant rooms, 1 Toddler Room, and 1 Preschool room. We are licensed for 40 kids, ages 6 weeks - 5 years.

  • Our building is locked and secured with a computer check-in/out procedure. All children are supervised at all times. Each staff member is assigned a primary group of children. We also have security cameras throughout the building and exterior cameras.

  • Little Explorers is open from 7:00am-5:30pm Monday - Friday.

  • Yes. Financial assistance may be available to help lower income families pay for child care, allowing parents to focus on work or school knowing their child is in a healthy, caring environment.

  • Yes, every employee at Little Explorers has passed the required standards set by state laws. This includes a complete background check.

About the students and Families

  • No. We only take full time students. Tuition is paid weekly.

  • We follow the Creative Curriculum®. This method of learning helps children become independent, communicative, critical thinkers. We believe that children learn best when they’re exploring the world around them and being creative. Along with the creative curriculum, in our Infant rooms we use baby sign language to help with the children's ability to communicate and in our toddler and preschool rooms we use Zoo Phonics to increase each child's ability to expand their knowledge of letters and language.

  • No. Little Explorers provides all meals and snacks. We also participates in CACFP. Every day our students receive breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks. Our meals incorporate whole grains, lean meat, fruit and vegetables.

    10. Do parents of infants need to provide bottles? Yes. Bottles need to be prepared prior to drop off each day. Bottles must be labeled clearly with child’s name, number of ounces, and whether the bottle is formula or breast milk. Every bottle will be documented in ProCare.

  • Our team is committed to building partnerships with our families. We realize the key to a great partnership is through continuious communication. Our largest communication tool is called ProCare. We are able to post daily activities, pictures, and message with families throughout the day. This software is also used for invoicing, attendance, displaying our menus, and sending out our monthly news letter. We highly encourage our parents and teachers to update each other at drop off/pickup and to always check the family bulletin board.
